Over 2025, Common Change Groups responded to 44 requests of support, breaking the £20k mark of giving collectively. An impressive £21,226.13 was gifted to those needing support, making the average gift given an impressive £482. This is an extraordinary achievement is a powerful reflection of what collective generosity can make possible, but what exactly did that look like?
- We kept people housed when rent or housing costs suddenly became impossible
- We made sure families had food on the table during crisis weeks
- We helped people travel home in moments of grief, urgency, or reunion
- We covered medical needs—from surgery support to end-of-life comfort
- We restored dignity through basics: heat, electricity, water, clothing, beds
- We got people moving again with help for cars, tyres, bus passes, and travel
- We backed mental health care, counselling, and healing spaces
- We helped children stay in school with uniforms, supplies, and transport
- We replaced what was stolen, broken, or lost—so life could keep going
- We supported refugees and families starting over
- We responded to global crises with local generosity
- We invested in creativity—artists, theatre, and healing experiences
- We helped people build work, skills, and income
- We stood with communities facing disaster, displacement, or war
- We proved that small groups can move fast and change real lives
What This Really Means
We weren’t funding “requests.” We were protecting homes. Restoring hope. Buying time. Easing fear. Creating dignity. And reminding people they are not alone.
